I grew up in a rural area in West Virginia. When I was a kid, animals were my best buddies & playmates: cats and dogs, as well as horses, ducks, goats, and chickens. My love for animals brought me to the University of GA, from which I graduated in 1991.
My goal is to help clients help their pets live their best and healthiest life. I strive to stay current on recent improvements in veterinary medicine so that I can best treat my patients.
This includes preventive medicine (vaccinations, weight control, parasite prevention etc.) as well as internal medicine (when we treat an actual condition).
I have 20 years of experience as a vet. Before Brodheadsville, I had practiced at several clinics in the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos.
When I meet a new patient, I go over the past medical history and perform a physical exam so that the owner and I can create an individualized plan to provide the best care for that particular pet.
I am Fear Free certified, so I strive to decrease fear, anxiety, and stress in my patients – and hopefully their owners.
I have an epileptic beagle (Max), a pug mix (Bella) and a crazy cat (Minolousche).
I am a mountain ultra-runner, which means that I run races over 26 miles (i.e. longer than a marathon), and up to 100 miles, in mountainous areas.
At Brodheadsville Veterinary Clinic, we are always accepting new patients. Our veterinarians' experience and passion for animal medicine makes all the difference to your pet's care. Contact us today to schedule your pet's first appointment!
